What’s the difference between Yoga Moves’ workshops, XL workshops, and teacher trainings?

Whether you're new to yoga, a seasoned practitioner, or a teacher, sometimes you want to stretch a little further both physically and mentally. Yoga Moves offers classes, workshops, and teacher training at a professional level, to serve all yogis no matter where you are in your practice.

Workshops
Workshops blend theory and practice, emphasizing understanding through hands-on experience. They are often given by internationally renowned teachers outside of our incredible network of those delivering our daily classes, while being accessible to most people who practice yoga or are interested in wellness. These longer sessions sometimes last a whole day or more. Some of our workshops also offer continuing education (CE) credits for yoga teachers.

XL Workshops
Designed by our local teachers to offer more depth on a specific topic (often asana improvement or more depth on a specialized topic) in a short period of time (2-3 hours) for a lower price point than a full workshop. Expect longer breathing exercises, deeper relaxation, and detailed exploration of specific poses, often with the use of props. The teacher may also delve into yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, or anatomy.

Training

A Teacher Training prepares and refines yoga professionals to share the power of yoga with others. Whether you're seeking to deepen your personal practice or transition into teaching, these programs offer higher levels of practice, skills and knowledge, often from some of the top trainers in the world. Yoga Moves has our own foundational training program; plus we host trainers from around the world to share their modules here in Utrecht. People often fly in from all over the world to train at Yoga Moves! Often these modules are available for non-teachers to join too, so don’t hesitate to ask.
